The proof that we know that the Holy Spirit is indeed God and not just some force is because of how the bible describes the Holy Spirit. It says in Ephesians 4:30 that we can grieve the Holy Spirit. How can you grieve a force? You can’t grieve a force, you can only grieve a person. It says in Acts 5:3 that Ananias and Sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit. You can’t lie to a force, you can only lie to a person. It also says in 1 Corinthians 12:11 that the Holy Spirit distributes the spiritual gifts as he wills. In other words, he makes decisions. Forces don’t make decisions, decisions are made for forces but a person makes a decision. Over and over again in the scriptures, the Holy Spirit is not referred to as an “it” so if you’re a Christian you keep referring to the Holy Spirit as an “it”, then you need to switch because the Holy Spirit is a person and we need to refer to him as “he” as the scriptures do.
